Job Description
The Accountant shall oversee the financial operations of the organization, ensuring compliance with legal standards and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and maintain financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Conduct routine audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
- Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports to management.
- Oversee and supervise financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project budgets.
- Review spending on contracts, services, and supplies, identifying opportunities for cost reduction.
- Carry out reconciliations of bank statements and general ledger accounts.
- Manage payroll processing and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Resolve discrepancies in financial records quickly and effectively.
- Handle financial emergencies or discrepancies as they arise.
Requirements
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferable.
- The position holder must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- The prospective candidate must be available to resume immediately.
- The ideal candidate should be proficient in report writing and data analysis (MS Word and Excel).
- Candidates living around Lekki axis would be preferred.
